Panch Kedar comprises of five Kedars, Kedarnath, Rudranath, Tungnath, Madyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar. These temples are built in ancient times by Pandavas to please Lord Shiva. In these Five Kedars Lord Shiva is worshipped in five divine forms. Like his hump is worshipped in Kedarnath, the arms in Tunganath, the nabhi (navel) and stomach in Madhyamaheshwar, the face at Rudranath and the hair and the head in Kalpeshwar as Lord Shiva disappeared in a form of a bull and reappeared at five different places of Panch Kedar.

According to Puranas, the Front part of the bull reappeared at Pashupatinath in Nepal. Panch Kedar is not accessible whole the year due to snowfall in winters. Only Kalpeshwar is accessible throughout the year. These five temples of Panch Kedars are located in Garhwal region of Himalayan Range. These Temples provides a wonderful view of Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba and Neelkanth peaks which form their backdrops.

Kedarnath Temple is one of the Panch Kedar Temples of Lord Shiva. It is the first temple to be visited in Panch Kedar. The Kedarnath Temple is located at 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level. Rudranath temple is located inside the dense forest of Rhododendron and Alpine pastures. The Rudranath temple is the third temple of Panch Kedar and before this one should visit Kedarnath and Tungnath. Tungnath is the highest temple of Lord Shiva in the world, second is Kedarnath. Tungnath means Lord of the peaks and the mountains of Tungnath forms the Valleys of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. Madhyamaheshwar is located at 3,265mts above sea level. It is surrounded by the snow-clad peaks that are Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, and Kedarnath. Kalpeshwar is located in Urgam valley of Himalayan Garhwal region of Uttrakhand, India. It is the fifth temple of Panch Kedar. This is a famous temple of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva’s Jata (hair) is worshiped here in divine form.

Panch Kedar trek tour of EZ is one of its kind, for the shiva devotees and Pilgrim trekkers and explorers. This is a minimum 10-day tour, with flexible dates as this trek is very physically demanding. Explorer’s fitness should be at the top level and one should not be having any chronic disease and allergies.

Tour itinerary

Day 1: Sonprayag

We start early for our first day, we head towards Sonprayag, our stop for today and one of the Panch Prayag. On we pay our regards to the Sangam of Devprayag and Rudraprayag. In the evening check in to your hotel and take rest as next day we have our first divine trek to Lord Kedarnath first Temple of Panch Kedar.

Day 2: Kedarnath

After healthy breakfast, we head towards Gauri Kund, the starting point of the trek. It’s a 16 Km trek and very adventures. This is the second-highest point of our whole trek. Reach temple after 6-7 hours of trek and pay you devotion to lord, explore the valley and night stay in Kedarnath.

Day 3: Ransi Villiage

Wake up early and gather for morning prayer to the lord, ask for strength as we need for the coming days. Trek down and head towards Ransi Villiage. Reach your hotel take full rest as next day is full of adventure.

Day 4: Madmaheswar Temple

Wake up early and have a good breakfast as today is your second trek and this is a complete adventure, we will be moving in dense forest and great nature views. Reach temple after 7 hours of trek, pay your devotion to the lord and night rest.

Day 5: Chopta ( our Switzerland )

Wake up early and breakfast and pay your morning devotion to the lord, ask for strength for coming endeavors. Trek up to Virdh Maheshwar and after pay devotion, trek down and ride towards Chopta. Night stay at the chilly hill station and base camp for Tungnath, highest Shiva temple. Have dinner and sleep tight.

Day 6: Tunghnath and Mandal

Start your 6 KM trek to temple, the trek is full of natural beauty, this is one of the best scenic beauty of the whole tour. After lunch at temple trek down and we head towards Mandal Station. Have dinner at Mandal hotel and take rest for the next trek.

Day 6: Rudranath

This is the longest trek of the whole tour, one of the most remembering one. Start your day with breakfast and we start our trek of the day. Reach temple after 8 hours of trek and pay your devotion to the lord. Night rest in the temple. Buffer day can also be taken.

Day 7: Helang

After morning prayer, trek down and we head towards Helag, our last station of the Panch Kedar trek. Night stay at Helang.

Day 8: Kalpeshwar

Today we can wake up a bit late, as this is the shortest trek. After breakfast, we head towards 12 KM by road and then start our trek. Pay your devotion to the lord and explore the vicinity. Trek down and night stay at Karnpyarag.

Day 9: Rishikesh

After Breakfast, we head towards Rishikesh. Our tour ending point.
